Psychological Learning Theories Essay

Psychological Learning Theories Essay
Case Study You are designing an education session for your colleagues on transitioning from a paper-based documentation system to an electronic health record (EHR) system. Time is of the essence, and you have three 1-hour sessions planned to cover the information they need to incorporate the new EHR system into their daily practice. Several of your colleagues are concerned about their ability to master the new system. Jack, the nursing unit supervisor, confides, “I am terrified. Learning a whole new system of documentation is overwhelming to my staff, given all of their other responsibilities. I worry that this new EHR system will have a negative impact on morale, just at the time when we are feeling pressure to increase the amount of work that we do.” 1. Describe how you will structure the educational sessions using two of the psychological learning theories. 2. Explain why you chose each theory. 3. Assess which learning theory can best assist you in addressing the issues your colleagues raise about their ability to master the new system and feelings of being overwhelmed and justify why you choose this theory. 4. Describe what you can do to ensure that learning will become relatively permanent. Psychological Learning Theories Essay

Developing Organizational Policies and Practices

Developing Organizational Policies and Practices
Assignment: Developing Organizational Policies and Practices Competing needs arise within any organization as employees seek to meet their targets and leaders seek to meet company goals. As a leader, successful management of these goals requires establishing priorities and allocating resources accordingly. Within a healthcare setting, the needs of the workforce, resources, and patients are often in conflict. Mandatory overtime, implementation of staffing ratios, use of unlicensed assisting personnel, and employer reductions of education benefits are examples of practices that might lead to conflicting needs in practice. Leaders can contribute to both the problem and the solution through policies, action, and inaction. In this Assignment, you will further develop the white paper you began work on in Module 1 by addressing competing needs within your organization. Developing Organizational Policies and Practices

Characteristics of Evidence Based Practice

Characteristics of Evidence Based Practice
I’m stuck on a Psychology question and need an explanation.
Consider the following quotation: “Often times, potential users of research knowledge are unconnected to those who do the research, and consequently a huge gap ensues between research knowledge and practice behaviors” (Barwick, M., Boudell, K., Stasiulis, E., Ferguson, H., Blase, K., & Fixsen, D., 2005). Social workers must work to close the gap perceived by the authors of this quote. Characteristics of Evidence Based Practice

In your previous research course, you addressed the concept of evidence-based practice. However, it is important not to fall into a habit of using the term “evidence-based practice” without a clear understanding of its meaning. In particular, it is important to understand what standards of evidence must exist to classify an intervention or a program as evidence based. In this assignment, you are to clarify your understanding of the nature of evidence-based practice and analyze the challenges and opportunities for implementing evidence-based practice in your current social work practice.
To prepare for this Discussion, read the Learning Resources that provide information about different aspects of the evidence-based practice concept. As you read, consider how evidence-based practice or evidence- based programs might be used in a social work agency where you work or where you had a practicum experience.

DISCUSSION

POST A DESCRIPTION OF THE DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF EVIDENCED-BASED PRACTICE. THEN PROVIDE AN EVALUATION OF FACTORS THAT MIGHT SUPPORT OR IMPEDE YOUR EFFORTS IN ADOPTING EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE OR EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAMS.

Mental Health Disorders in Era of Social Media

Mental Health Disorders in Era of Social Media
I need an explanation for this Psychology question to help me study.
Hello students,
For this assignment, you can use the PsycINFO database to search for articles for your topic. Follow this link to the Articles and Databases (Links to an external site.) page and scroll down to PsycINFO to search for your article. Note: if you are accessing from off campus, you need to set up a pin to get access to this database. Your student fees pay for access. You may also use google scholar or other databases as long as you choose a peer-reviewed journal article. You should never pay for an article; choose something else if you cannot get free access.
From the topics listed below, search the database for a study on that topic. The length of the paper you choose to read does not matter, but look for papers that you find interesting. You will be writing an article summary of the experiment you read. The specific instructions on how to do this are listed below. You will also have an introduction and conclusion. This paper will be evaluated by turnitin.com, so be sure to paraphrase and use in-text citations to avoid plagiarism. No direct quotes are allowed.
Students are required to choose from one of the following topics (if there is a topic you want to research that is not on this list, you may email me for permission to research that topic):
-Social Media Networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. (e.g., effects on relationships, mental health etc.)
– Conformity
– Discrimination (e.g., racism, sexism, etc.)
-Stereotype threat
-Obedience to authority
-Bullying
-Bystander effect

This paper will have a word limit of minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 600 words and will require a scientific journal article from peer-reviewed journals. Do not go over the word count by more than 50 words.
The following structure can be used as a guideline:
Start with an APA style title page

  • Introduction

Define the topic and formulate a thesis statement. Explain the topic that you have chosen to write this paper about, and also discuss why you have chosen this topic. This should be one paragraph.

  • Body

-Summarizing the empirical articles:

  1. Summarize the authors’ purpose (~3-6 sentences). Why did the author(s) conduct the study? What was their rationale?
  2. Methods (~5-8 sentences). Discuss how the study was conducted. Here, mention how many subjects were there for the study, their characteristics (e.g., college students, children, age, etc.), how were the data collected (e.g., was it through survey, interview etc.), was this study an experiment or a correlational study, finally, identify the independent (what was being manipulated by the researchers) and dependent variables (what was being measured; what was the behavior of interest in the study). You should be able to identify if the study was a correlational study or a true experiment wherein independent variables were manipulated to assess changes in the dependent variable(s).
  3. Summarize the results (~5-9 sentences). What did the experimenters find? Where there statistically significant findings? Discuss what the main results were for the effects of the independent variable on the dependent variable. There may be more than one independent and dependent variable. In this case, you may choose what variables are of most interest to you and write about those. Mental Health Disorders in Era of Social Media
  4. Summarize the authors’ comments and conclusions (~3-4 sentences). Also discuss any limitations of the article you may find and suggest ways to overcome those limitations. Mention how the findings in the article are related to your thesis statement.
  • Conclusion:

What are the overall conclusions from your research on your topic? What did you learn from this research experience? How, if at all, will knowing more about this topic influence your behavior? What did you find most interesting about this topic and the information you gained from your research? This should be one paragraph.
Be sure to cite in-text and provide an APA style title page and reference section. Please put your word count after your last reference. Only the following formats are accepted, so please choose one of these:
