ROBOTICS Assignment Details Ethics of Cloning
In 2008, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved food derived from cloned animals. In addition, these products did not need to be labeled as “cloned” or “from clones” (Black, 2008). The FDA explained that you would not be eating the clone itself. It takes thousands of dollars to clone a food animal such as a cow or pig. Animals that are cloned for improved food production are used for a breeding program to produce many offspring with the desirable traits for increased meat or milk yield. These offspring of the clones are fair game for food. Clones as Food
In your discussion post, respond to ALL of the following questions:
Based on research and evidence relating to DNA or the process of cloning a mammal, did you find that there are differences between a clone and a “normal” animal?
Explain your personal opinions about eating a cloned animal.
Is your opinion of eating a cloned plant different?
Utilize at least 1 credible source to support the arguments presented in your post. Reference

Health Promotion and Disease Prevention:
Like your first assignment, this assignment also has two distinct parts. For Part 1, you will create an educational program, event, or piece of literature (such as a like a pamphlet) targeted at a diverse population that incorporates best health promotion and disease prevention practice. If the population you used for the health assessment and communication assessment is diverse, you can use that population and the health concerns you identified. In this component, you will demonstrate your proficiency in Program Outcomes 7, 8, and 10:Program Outcome 7: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: Apply and incorporate a basic understanding of the concepts of health promotion and disease as a means of improving health at the individual, population, and community levels.Program Outcome 8: Diversity: Incorporate a holistic, caring, culturally appropriate nursing approach that contributes to the wellness and the health of individuals, groups, and vulnerable populations.Program Outcome 10: Global Accountability and Public Service: Integrate a holistic approach to local, regional, national, and global dynamics in nursing healthcare system delivery. To prepare for this part of the assignment:Review the literature or use health assessments to determine healthcare needs of a diverse population in your community.Explore things that could influence success, such as cultural attitudes towards alternative forms of healing, religious beliefs, or other individuals.Examine the impact of current health promotion and wellness initiatives on health outcomes and health disparities.Review the literature to identify best practices.
For the second part of the assignment, you will explain how you developed your educational program, event, or piece of literature, and address any barriers to disease prevention and health promotion for the population.Part 1: Once you have identified a diverse population, develop an educational program, event, or piece of literature that promotes wellness and disease prevention. If you choose an educational program or event, be sure that you outline the basic content of the program or event, and how you would structure it. If you choose a piece of literature, be deliberate in the points you highlight. Be sure that your choice is appropriate for the population. For an educational program or event, you will prepare and submit an outline of the content and structure. For a brochure or pamphlet, you will prepare and submit the brochure or pamphlet.
Part IIIn this section of the assignment:Explain the reason you choose the educational strategy you did. Why is it an effective strategy for the population?Describe cultural barriers to disease prevention and health promotion in the population. This might include things such as CAM, language, religious beliefs and so on.Explain how your educational strategy can help overcome some of the barriers you described.Evaluate how well health promotion and wellness strategies positively impact health outcomes and health disparities at the local, national, and global levels. Can you find evidence that health promotion and wellness strategies have had a positive effect on health outcomes and health disparities at the local, national, and global levels?Support your work with valid scholarly resources.

Evolving Practice Of Nursing And Patient Care Delivery Models Essay
As the country focuses on the restructuring of the U.S. health care delivery system, nurses will continue to play an important role. It is expected that more and more nursing jobs will become available out in the community, and fewer will be available in acute care hospitals.
Write an informal presentation (500-700 words) to educate nurses about how the practice of nursing is expected to grow and change. Include the concepts of continuity or continuum of care, accountable care organizations (ACO), medical homes, and nurse-managed health clinics.
Share your presentation with nurse colleagues on your unit or department and ask them to offer their impressions of the anticipated changes to health care delivery and the new role of nurses in hospital settings, communities, clinics, and medical homes.
In 800-1,000 words summarize the feedback shared by three nurse colleagues and discuss whether their impressions are consistent with what you have researched about health reform.
A minimum of three scholarly references are required for this assignment.
While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines. You are required to submit to turnitin

COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE MANAGERS AND HUMAN RESOURCES PERSONNEL ASSOCIATED WITH FILLING THE OPEN POSITION.

Didn’t Cut It? Hire Another The process of recruiting a new employee is smoothest when there is collaboration between the managers and human resources personnel associated with filling the open position. The relationships between managers and HR personnel must be balanced for the recruiting process to be successful. If a clear focus and sense of cooperation are lacking, the process can be slow, arduous, and often ineffective. Furthermore, financial, legal, and ethical concerns may be ignored if managers and HR personnel are clashing instead of collaborating. In this Discussion, you will explore the implications of managerial relationships in the recruiting process. You will also weigh the costs and benefits of internal versus external recruiting by considering financial implications and organizational values. To prepare for this Discussion:Read Chapter 11 in the course text and focus on the involvement of both management and HR personnel in the recruiting process.Read the article, Nurse Staffing: Finding the Right Number and Mix. Consider how financial matters and other challenges affect the recruiting process in health care organizations. Also, consider how these challenges relate to whether an organization hires internally or externally.Review the case study Didnt Cut It? Hire Another in Chapter 11 of the course text. Consider the benefits and shortcomings of the collaboration between Kathy Gray and Sam Weston.Think about the many considerations and pressures the HR department balances in the recruiting process. How does the HR departments adherence to these considerations and pressures affect the success of an organization?Post by Day 4 a summary of at least two issues or problems that occurred throughout the case study and why those issues are significant. Then, discuss how the existence of a human resources department in the nursing home would have prevented or mitigated those issues. Describe what additional issues could arise if either HR or management did not participate appropriately in the recruitment and hiring process. Finally, analyze the pros and cons of hiring from within versus hiring from outside an organization. Consider the costs and benefits of giving existing employees promotions and the costs and benefits of providing opportunities for outside candidates to obtain positions. Please put it in apa format citation and if you used a page in the book let me know. The name of the book is Human Resource Management in Healthcare principle and pratice 2ND 14Author(s)FallonEdition/Copyright2ND 14PublisherJones & Bartlett PublishersTypePaperbackISBN-101-449bogus6-8883-7ISBN-13978-1bogus-4496-8883-7please put it in apa format citation Thank you. 300 to 350 words

Below are two scenarios, based on information learned in this course. You will need to write a 3–4 page paper for each scenario. Each paper should address the questions provided in the applicable scenario. Please use our textbook, internet search and any personal knowledge you might have to complete the assignment. Please cite all sources, and follow APA formatting techniques. Submit your Scenario 1 paper to the Unit 9 Scenario 1 Dropbox, and submit your Scenario 2 paper to the Unit 9 Scenario 2 Dropbox. Scenario 1: Combining data in an EMR system
A large healthcare enterprise in the Mid-Atlantic region that was created by a merger owns two acute care hospitals, a rehabilitation center, an outpatient surgical center, and three long-term care facilities. Each of these institutions uses a different EMR system. Admitting privileges extend to 550 physicians who have office systems that interface with at least one of the acute care EMR systems.
The vision is to create an environment to support communication, care coordination, and data sharing across the organization in preparation for a regional EHR system. The organization also wants to move quickly in order to take advantage of the incentives offered by the government and meet mandatory requirements.
Executives have decided to focus on the acute care facilities first and use lessons learned there to integrate the other centers at a later time. Hospital A uses certified EHR applications and has implemented ancillary systems, CPOE, and clinical documentation whereas Hospital B has a highly customized, beloved old mainframe computer that is outdated and no longer supported by the vendor. Instead of selecting a new system for both hospitals, the software programs used in Hospital A will be implemented in Hospital B.
There are many types of barriers that can interfere with the implementation of a unified EMR system. Give an example of at least three barriers types that exist and could cause issues given the scenario above.
Scenario 2: PHR Implementation
An academic medical center in the western U.S. recently adopted a commercial EHR and plans to adopt and integrate a PHR with its EHR. The hospital CEO drafts a vision statement designed around improving how their patients experience health care.
The CEO convenes a meeting of the chief technology officer, the chief nursing informatics officer, the chief medical officer, and a liaison from the EHR vendor to develop a strategic plan for the PHR. This meeting includes a specific list of functionalities, a timeline for their implementation, and considerations regarding the effects of the PHR on current workflows and revenue streams.
Imagine that you are the chief technology officer for the hospital. What PHR functionalities will you recommend be implemented first? Why?

Safety Programs and Incentives
Craig is a safety consultant in the mid-west. He received a telephone call from the Director of Countryside Care Center (a 207-bed nursing home facility in Aurora, Illinois that employs 65-70 nurse aides to work with residents and a total staff of 160 employees).
When the Director explained that he wanted to hire Craig as a consultant to improve safety, Craig initially thought: “How dangerous can a nursing home be?” He soon learned. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2000, the average nursing home injury and illness rate was 14.2 per 100 full time employees. Comparable rates include: coal mining (6.2), construction workers (10.8), and truck drivers (13.8).
Nurse aides assist residents in many day-to-day tasks. One of the most hazardous (to the aides) is physically moving the residents to-and-from beds, chairs, and the toilet. The Director explained that the nurse aides were taught “safe” lifting techniques and to use a “two-person” lift whenever handling residents. However, despite this training and the adoption of what most consider the industry’s “best practices,” nurse aides are continuing to experience a high rate of injuries (especially back injuries) leading to Workers’ Compensation injuries claims.
Craig has read about healthcare safety training and mechanical lifting devices but is unsure what would be the best advice to improve safety and decrease injuries.
In a 2-3 page report, prepared in APA style with at least two references, do the following:
Recommend to Craig a more effective safety program he could suggest to the Director of the nursing home to reduce injuries
Advise Craig about any equipment that could be purchased to mechanize the lifting process for residents
Suggest to Craig a safety incentive program that you think could be implemented to incentivize the staff to reduce injuries and be cost-effective

The Medication Paper Final Draft “Byvalson”
paper must be a minimum of seven pages, not including your title or reference pages. You should include at least five recent references (published within the last five years), and the paper must be presented in APA format (see rough draft requirements in week 6).
The paper must include the following content information:
Manufacturing company
Brand name

First in class, or not first in class
Common side effects profile
Known contradictions
Make sure you explain the special considerations that your chosen drug has on the unique populations/client groups listed below. Special considerations should include absorption, clearance/elimination, distribution, metabolism half-life, loading dose, route of drug administration, and steady state. Pediatric Patients
Pediatric patients are not little adults. There are special pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics variations in this patient group. Their reaction to medication can be very unpredictable. Accurate dosing is the key due to their limited body mass. Geriatric Patients
Geriatric patients have altered pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics responses to medication. The process of aging and disease will change how the body responds to drug therapy. Memory limitations and increased sensitivity to drug therapy may cause unique problems with this population. Patients With Renal Dysfunction
Many medications are excreted through the renal glands or metabolized and excreted renally. Dosage adjustment is the key in this population. Many agents may cause nephrotoxicity. Patients With Liver Dysfunction
Liver disease produces alterations in the physiology of the drugs’ pharmacokinetics in the body. Special attention should be given to all drugs used in this client population Obese Patients
Obese patients have alterations in their pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic response to medication. Many comorbidities and altered nutritional status can be seen as responses to taking these medications. Accurate dosing is paramount. Pregnancy/Lactation
Pregnancy and lactation can be challenging. Concerns of effects to the unborn fetus must be considered. Will treating the mother harm the unborn fetus or nursing infant?
