Reflecting on my experience within the evolving media landscape, mainly through the lens of the merger between CBS Corporation and Viacom Corporation, I have observed firsthand the pivotal shift from traditional cable to streaming platforms. This strategic merger aimed to harness CBS’s content creation capabilities and interest in streaming alongside Viacom’s robust network of brands like MTV, CMT, and BET to forge a competitive force in the streaming domain (Thompson & Mittell, 2020). The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic expedited our transition to a digital workspace, necessitating the adoption of tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams to maintain collaboration and operational continuity among our 30,000 employees (Smith, 2022).

The effectiveness of these collaboration tools, however, presented a mixed picture. While they facilitated communication and teamwork, the process exposed significant challenges, including digital fatigue and the complexities of merging distinct company cultures. This experience highlighted the critical need for digital literacy and comprehensive training to transition smoothly to these new operational standards. Despite these hurdles, the benefits of enhanced communication cannot be overstated, though they also highlighted the necessity for additional, more tailored tools. Platforms like Slack, Dropbox, and OneDrive became the cornerstone for team communication, project management, and project coordination (Crous, 2020).

Subsequently, the merger between CBS Corporation and Viacom Corporation illustrates a broader industry trend towards streaming, driven by changing consumer preferences and the challenges posed by the pandemic. It highlights the essential role of digital collaboration tools in navigating this transition while emphasizing the need for strategic approaches to mitigate digital fatigue and cultivate a unified company culture in this new era of digital workspaces (Roy, 2022)

  1. What is prime reality?
  2. What is the nature of the world around you?
  3. What is a human being?
  4. What happens to a person at death?
  5. Why is it possible to know anything at all?
  6. How do people know what is right or wrong?
  7. What is the meaning of human history?

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is not required.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Question Description

The theoretical foundations of qualitative and quantitative methods are very different, but many researchers believe both methods should be used in the research study to increase validity and reliability. What advantages or disadvantages do you see in using both types of methods in a nursing study? Support your answer with current evidence-based literature.

For the final project, you will be conducting a forensics investigation using one of the following items:

  1. A smartphone
  2. A network (ideally, a wireless network)

You may use either for your investigation. However, be aware of legal issues surrounding your data gathering. If you are using any system you do not personally control and have authority to investigate/discover, please get written permission from the owner/operator of the system or refrain from your forensics analysis of that systems and use a personal system. For a network, you can use your own personal home network. For a smartphone, consider using an image from the Internet or a personal device. There could be issues related to using a live, active, personal device (example: corruption of the device). If using a personal device, consider using an old, outdated phone, if available.
You will review various forensics tools used with your selected system. Select a tool and use that tool to gather forensics data for analysis. You are simulating the process of gathering this data, so you do not need to investigate a compromised device or system. The project deliverables are as follows:
Week 3 – Prepare a two-page paper (double-spaced) that describes the device or system you will investigate and the intended tool you plan to use to conduct your forensics investigation. The interim paper should be in the form of an Executive Summary. Be sure to provide references in APA format.

According to the CDC, chronic diseases are the leading cause of death in the United States, with almost 50% of the population suffering from at least one chronic illness. As a result, almost 80% of health care spending is devoted to its management (CDC, 2010). To this end, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) developed performance measures. These performance measures allow organizations to compare yearly quality improvement outcomes in the management of chronic diseases. As a nurse engaged in advanced practice, you may find yourself at the forefront of prevention and care management efforts.

To prepare:

  • Review      the National Committee for Quality Assurance report, presented in the      Learning Resources, and examine current trends and measures associated      with at least two chronic diseases. This information will form the basis      for this Discussion.
  • Review      examples of measures that address the management of chronic diseases for      an inpatient setting that might not be relevant in an outpatient setting.      Be sure to explore the companion metrics that influence a patient’s      ability to manage chronic disease.
  • Consider      how these metrics facilitate change and improve the management of chronic      disease.
  • Examine      the efficiency of current automated trigger systems for managing patient safety.      Ask yourself: How do these automated trigger systems help improve quality      of health care, patient education, and management of chronic illnesses?

By tomorrow 12/27/2017, write a minimum of 550 words essay in APA format with 2 references from the list below. Include the level one headers as numbered below:

post a cohesive response that addresses the following:

1) Compare one quality metric for managing chronic disease that applies to your practice setting to a metric that applies in a different practice setting (i.e. hospital nurse compared to home health nurse).

2) Evaluate how these quality metrics facilitate change and improve the management of chronic disease.

3) Take a stance on the efficiency of current automated trigger systems to help manage patient safety. Do you believe these to be proactive or reactive responses when educating patients on disease management?
