In this assignment, you will be writing a 1,000-1,250-word essay   describing the differing approaches of nursing leaders and managers to   issues in practice. To complete this assignment, do the following:

HR Issues Papers (50%)
You will research and prepare two papers covering any two of the articles from the textbook that you don’t write discussion items for. Each paper will be worth a maximum of 25 points. The text of each paper (excluding the cover and reference pages) must be a minimum of five full pages and no longer than six pages in length and must be single-spaced (not 1.15, which is the default setting for recent versions of Word) and printed using Times New Roman, size 12 font, with 1.25 inch margins on the side and 1 inch margins on the top and bottom (Office 2003 default in Margin settings in Page Layout).  Also, please do not use any space saving techniques such as adding extra space between paragraphs (the first sentence of each paragraph should be indented and the After setting in Paragraph should be set at ‘0 pt’), using bulleted or numbered items, using sub-titles or footnotes, including diagrams or tables, or including your name/paper title at the top of any of the5-6 pages.  You will not receive full credit for a review that has more than a few grammatical errors.  Your grade on a paper will be reduced if you do not follow these technical requirements.  In addition, you must attach a cover page that includes the issue you have chosen and a page of references at the end of your paper (the cover page and reference page do not count toward the 5-6 page requirement).  You must use at least four references for the paper in addition to the textbook article that is the basis for your paper and none of the four references should be other articles from the textbooks.  No more than one page of the paper can be based on the textbook article.

CASE STUDY 3 – Reflecting on week 4’s lessons in the syllabus, select a patient population (pediatric, young adult, adult or geriatric), and briefly analyze a chronic cardiovascular disease (HTN, Heart failure, Dyslipidemia, Heart murmur etc.…), that  may affect this population. The Assignment Task:
The purpose of this assignment is to undertake a critical review of literature in relation to key themes in
Strategic Business and Management. A literature review is a critical analysis of published sources on a
particular topic. It is an assessment of the literature and provides a summary, classification, comparison and
evaluation. Undertaking a critical review of literature is a key component for postgraduate study. It allows you
to demonstrate the depth of your knowledge and understanding, highlight your ability to challenge, question,
compare and contrast and analyse a range of theories and concepts in relation to your topic.
It is important that you demonstrate that you are able to evaluate and critically analyse what you are reading.
As a post graduate business student, it is essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge regarding
critical business issues and that you can reach evidence-based conclusions in your writing.
The task: is to undertake a Critical Literature Review in relation to key themes in Strategic Business and
Management that being introduced in this module within the context of International Business. Choose one
of the following topics below for your essay:

Word Limits:
The maximum word limit for this assignment is 2,000 words. In accordance with the Assessment and Feedback Policy, as
stated in section 4.40 where a submission exceeds the stipulated word limit by more than 10%, the submission
will only be marked up to and including the additional 10%. Anything over this will not be included in the final
grade for the assessment item. Abstracts, bibliographies, reference lists, appendices and footnotes are
excluded from any word limit requirements.
In line with section 4.41 of the same Policy, where a submission is notably under the word limit, the full submission will
be marked on the extent to which the learning objectives have been met.

Assessment Submission:

work submitted to TURNITIN will be subject to anti-plagiarism detection software. Turnitin checks student

you upload your work correctly to TURNITIN you will receive a receipt which is your record and proof of
submission. If your assignment is not submitted to TURNITIN rather than a receipt you will see a green banner

Late submission of work:

How to develop critical thinking?
You will be taught different modules during your studies. You are going to review, read and understand the
importance of different Business and Management theories and you will practice and apply those theories
on your case studies during seminar activities and assessments.
Critical Thinking means, making reasoned judgments that are logical and well thought out. If you think
critically you may ask these questions such as:
❖ How do you know that?
❖ Why this is happening?
❖ What are the different scholars’ opinions about the objectives / topics?
❖ Is this conclusion based on credible and academic evidence or gut feelings?
❖ Are there alternative possibilities?
You critical thinking can be divided into the followings:
➢ Curiosity
➢ Scepticism
➢ Humility
Curiosity: Desire to learn more information and seek evidence as well as being open to new ideas.
Scepticism: Having a healthy questioning attitude about new information that you are exposed to.
Humility: Admit your opinions and ideas are wrong when faced with new convincing evidence.
Critical Thinking is a complex process of deliberation which involves a wide range of skills and attitudes. The
focus of critical thinking is often referred to as the “argument” (Cottrell, 2011. pp.2-4):
➢ Identifying other people’s (academic scholars) positions, arguments and conclusions.
➢ Evaluating the evidence for alternative points of view.
➢ Weighing up opposing arguments and evidence fairly.
➢ Being able to read between the lines, seeing behind surface and identifying false or unfair
assumptions.
➢ Recognising technique used to make certain positions more appealing than others.
➢ Reflecting issues in a structured way, bringing logic and insight to bear.
➢ Drawing conclusions about whether arguments are valid and justifiable, based on good evidence and
sensible assumptions.
➢ Synthesising information, drawing together your judgments of evidence, synthesising these to form
your own new position.
➢ Presenting a point of view in a structured, clear well-reasoned way that convinces others (based on
creditable findings).

➢ More focused reading.
➢ Improve ability to identify the key points in a text or other message rather than becoming distracted
by less important materials.
