NEED THIS ASSIGNMENT BY 11AM TOMORROW!!! EXAMPLE PROVIDED
The Context versus Content Project includes two paper collages of magazine pictures, photographs or photocopies, which create two different meanings.
The context of an image (its surroundings, timeframe, culture or life of the artist) has a direct effect on the content or meaning that the viewer takes away from the experience. The student objective is to begin with two like images, such as a person, an animal, a car, landscape, etc. and use them in two entirely different contexts.
Consider some of the themes in Part 4 of our text. Think about sacred places, feminist issues, religious issues or any others themes. You might think about issues in your own life, about which you could create two different contexts, based on the same original image.
1. Find an image that interests you. Make two copies of it in black and white or in color, or find two very similar pictures.
2. Position each one on a piece of paper wherever you choose, and surround each picture with additional images to form two different collages (a collage is a collection of images glued together to form a new unified piece of artwork). Each of the collages should have differing pictures surrounding your original image.
3. If this exercise is successful, you should experience different content (feeling, meaning, interpretation) from each of the two collages.
4. Actual paper collage is preferred, but if you need to create on the computer, this is acceptable.

Assessment Instructions

Preparation
To prepare for this assessment, you will need to think about changes you feel are needed to address a problem either within nursing as a professional field or within the organization where you work. Narrow down your options by considering which change would best be undertaken by an interprofessional team. Some examples for you to consider might include:

The use of mobile and portable technology to support patients.
Using evidence-based practice (EBP) to improve patient care.
Increasing patient safety and quality of care.
The use of medical technology such as genes and stem cells, or robots in the OR.
Addressing the nursing shortage now and into the future.
Improving the work environment (providing calm, supportive spaces for nurses; improved dialog between health care professionals).
Better safety for nurses at work (violence, spreading diseases, physical injury).
Substance abuse by health care professionals.

Or you can narrow the scope to an issue within your own organization:

Developing a mobility program for an inpatient unit.
Implementing “smart” technology to assist in patient monitoring.
Creating a mentoring program to attract and retain nurses.
Implementing protocols for infection control and/or treatment of an epidemic.
Developing a plan to eliminate physical violence and verbal abuse in the workplace.
Other.

Once you have selected an issue to address, look for scholarly and professional articles that focus on the problem, the needed change, and how interprofessional teams can work together to drive change.
Requirements
Lately you have noticed the need for changes within your organization that would advance the field of nursing. You have decided to develop a proposal and submit it to executive leadership. Format this assessment as a professional proposal. You may want to look at how proposals are drafted within your organization and follow that format. You will still need a references page; follow APA guidelines for in-text citations and references.
Address the following in your proposal:

Briefly describe the problem and how it impacts the organization, patients, and/or the nursing profession.
Describe possible evidence-based interventions for the problem.
Analyze potential barriers and resistance to change that might come from the organization, patients, and/or colleagues.
Describe strategies to overcome barriers and resistance to change.
Develop a plan to implement evidence-based interventions. What steps would you take? What resources might you need?
Identify other health care professionals to enlist as team members to help drive change in the organization.

Your completed assessment should be 4–6 pages in length, not including title page and references page. Support your statements and intervention plan with references to and citations for at least four scholarly or professional resources.
Additional Requirements

Include a title page and references page.
Reference at least four current scholarly or professional resources.
Use APA format for citations and references.
Use Times New Roman font, 12 point.
Double space.

🗺️ Explore: Strategies companies can implement to reduce their environmental footprint.

💬 Reflect: On the long-term impact of business decisions on the planet and future generations.

tip #1: Take a Stand

Clearly articulate your position on whether businesses should be required to help protect the environment. Support your stance with strong arguments and evidence from the unit’s readings and your own research.

Tip #2: Think Critically

Consider the consequences of businesses failing to address environmental concerns, as well as the potential positive outcomes of environmental responsibility. Explore the ethical, economic, and social dimensions of this issue.

Tip #3: Get Specific

Provide concrete examples of actions businesses can take to improve environmental concerns at both local and global levels. Think creatively and consider innovative solutions that can make a real difference.

Journal Submission Checklist:

  • Length: 3 pages of content, minimum (double-spaced, excluding title and reference pages)
  • Sources: Minimum of 2 outside sources
  • Formatting: APA Style (title page, reference page, and in-text citations. No abstract required.)

Scenario:

A 70 year-old patient has experienced a devastating stroke and is comatose in the intensive care unit on a ventilator. A family meeting was held. The hospital physician explained the irreversible damage to the brain, and discussed end of life care and withdrawal of life support. Family members acknowledge understanding and return to the patient’s room. As the RN was preparing to enter the room a family member is overheard to say, “Mom always said she didn’t want to be attached to a bunch of machines.” Another family member replies, “Don’t tell anyone she signed forms on the last admission, I don’t think we should take her off life support.”

Initial Discussion Post:

Address the following:

  • Describe two (2) ethical principles in conflict for the RN in the scenario.
  • What should the RN do in this scenario?
  • Refer to the 2015 American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics to resolve this dilemma. Provide a rationale that goes beyond your personal opinion.

Base your initial post on your readings and research of this topic. Your initial post must contain a minimum of 250 words. References, citations, and repeating the question do not count towards the 250 word minimum.

Consider these six elements: international child labor, globalization and human rights, international working standards, global environmental issues, global outsourcing, and cultural diversity. give one example of whistle blowing. Critique how it was handled. Was it well done? Consider the impact the individual as well as the country. Was it a loss or gain the example? Conclude with the importance of understanding these issues as a business chooses to go global.

The first step of the EBP process is to develop a question from the nursing practice problem of interest.

Select a practice problem of interest to use as the focus of your research.

Start with the patient and identify the clinical problems or issues that arise from clinical care.

Following the PICOT format, write a PICOT statement in your selected practice problem area of interest, which is applicable to your proposed capstone project.

The PICOT statement will provide a framework for your capstone project (the project students must complete during their final course in the RN-BSN program of study).

Conduct a literature search to locate research articles focused on your selected practice problem of interest. This literature search should include both quantitative and qualitative peer-reviewed research articles to support your practice problem.

Select six peer-reviewed research articles which will be utilized through the next 5 weeks as reference sources. Be sure that some of the articles use qualitative research and that some use quantitative research. Create a reference list in which the six articles are listed. Beneath each reference include the article’s abstract. The completed assignment should have a title page and a reference list with abstracts.

Suggestions for locating qualitative and quantitative research articles from credible sources:

  1. Use a library database such as CINAHL Complete for your search.
  2. Using the advanced search page check the box beside “Research Article” in the “Limit Your Results” section.
  3. When setting up the search you can type your topic in the top box, then add quantitative or qualitative as a search term in one of the lower boxes. Research articles often are described as qualitative or quantitative.

To narrow/broaden your search, remove the words qualitative and quantitative and include words that narrow or broaden your main topic. For example: Diabetes and pediatric and dialysis. To determine what research design was used, review the abstract and the methods section of the article. The author will provide a description of data collection using qualitative or quantitative methods.

Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Research  a teaching presentation for a postpartum woman and her family.   Focus the information for the new mother who will be discharged from the hospital in the next day.  Develop an informational handout and presently available resources related to the topic. The information should include normal expectations, danger signs, and when to notify their provider.

Topic:  Bottle Feeding; Well-fitting supportive bra, application of ice, management of engorgement, when to feed, how many ounces and other information needed.  One pamphlet with some drawing showing baby/ mother/ feeding bottle and so on.

What I want you do to: Propose a new harm reduction program in the Phoenix, Arizona community, and write a one-page program rationale for this program. The harm reduction program that you propose should address HIV, substance use, or both. You may choose to focus on one drug (heroin, amphetamines, prescription drugs, etc), substance use in general, and/or sexual health.
Why I want you to do it: In order to gain support for a new health education/promotion program, health educators need to provide justification for the program. The tool that program planners use to do this is the program rationale. You will gain valuable experience in writing a program rationale to address HIV and/or substance use.
How to do it: When writing the rationale, identify the health problem from both a global and local perspective. Explain both national and state data. Then, propose a solution to the problem. Use results of evidence-based practice (prior successful programs) to create your own harm reduction solution.
Examples:

  • Setting up a clean-needle exchange site at the local Phoenix chapter of the American Red Cross
  • Implement a free “Door-Dash condom fairy” program in residence halls
  • Installing free female-condom dispensers in public restrooms and truck stops
  • Take-home Naloxone program for people hospitalized due to overdose

Detailed Instructions

Paragraph 1: Start off with a global (national) and then local (Phoenix, AZ) perspective of the health problem. Share prevalence and incidence data. Cite your source.
Paragraph 2: List other evidence-based practices (other programs) already in place in Phoenix to help address the health problem. If you cannot find Phoenix programs for your health problem, list and briefly describe national programs.
Paragraph 3: Explain your idea for a new program in Phoenix that addresses the health problem. Describe your idea in detail. Explain who this program is for (tailor it to a specific audience: college freshmen, inmates, sex workers, etc).
Include a References Page in APA format.
