Chick-fil-A’s ability to outperform multinational giants like McDonald’s, Burger King, and Starbucks is largely attributed to its distinctive management structure, unique culture, and rigorous control mechanisms. One of the key elements of Chick-fil-A’s competitive advantage lies in its organizational structure, which emphasizes quality over quantity. Unlike many of its competitors that focus on rapid expansion, Chick-fil-A meticulously selects its franchisees and limits the number of locations each can operate. This approach ensures that each restaurant maintains a high standard of quality and customer service. Additionally, Chick-fil-A’s employee culture is built around the idea of serving a higher purpose, which can be seen in its commitment to customer satisfaction and community engagement. This focus on service excellence creates a positive feedback loop, as satisfied customers are more likely to return and recommend the restaurant to others, thereby minimizing the need for aggressive marketing strategies.

Chick-fil-A also stands out for its highly controlled business model, where the company retains ownership of all locations and leases them to franchisees. This allows the company to maintain stringent quality controls and ensures that each franchise adheres to its operational standards. The company’s culture further fortifies this control, as employees are encouraged to see their work not just as a job but as a mission. Employees are trained extensively and are motivated to deliver exceptional service, which significantly contributes to customer loyalty. By embedding its core values deeply into its corporate structure and daily operations, Chick-fil-A has built a highly cohesive and effective organization. This case underscores the importance of aligning organizational structure, culture, and control mechanisms to formulate a robust corporate strategy that can deliver long-lasting competitive advantages.

Being able to articulate your personal worldview can help you formulate a personal philosophy of practice and enhance your influence on patients and the industry. In this assignment, you will have an opportunity to reflect on your current and future practice, and the ways worldview and nursing theory influence that practice.  Draft a 1,000 word paper in which you:

1 Describe an integrative worldview, which attempts to reconcile rational thought and science with a spiritual sense of awe for the environment, including the religious, spiritual, and cultural elements that you think most influence personal philosophy of practice and attitude towards patient care.

2 Choose a specific nursing theory (Sister Callista Roy’s View of Adaptation) and discuss the similarities. Explain how the nursing theory reinforces your approach to care.

3 Finally, explain how the worldview and the nursing theory can assist in further developing future practice. You are required to cite five to 10 sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and nursing content.

Conduct a windshield survey to identify a population and its primary health concern. Develop a 3–5-page report that explains demographic changes for a population and describes the health disparities and social determinants of health that can affect the population.

**Central Florida United States community**

Requirements

Conduct the windshield survey, using the template attached.
Use the template as a guide to write a report for your team. If possible, look at other written documents used within your organization. How are they formatted? Follow that format as closely as possible, making sure you still use APA guidelines for your in-text references, citations, and reference page.

Based on your observations and notes from your survey experience, write a report that includes the following:

Describe, briefly, the neighborhood or community you observed (overall condition, types of spaces and businesses, evidence of services, and so forth).
Describe a vulnerable or diverse population you observed living within the neighborhood or community.

Now you will need to do some research on the population you described:

Explain how the demographics for the population have changed over the past 5–10 years. Note: This information should be readily available through the United States Census Bureau, similar state Web sites, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or other professional sites. Be sure your information is current.
Describe the most prevalent health risks for the population. For example, if your population is senior citizens, then the health risks might be diabetes and loss of mobility. Include statistics on the health risks, such as frequency of occurrence in the population and number of deaths per year in the population.
Identify the health disparities and social determinants of health that can affect the population. In other words, what will you need to overcome to develop a successful health promotion and disease prevention program for the population?

Your completed assessment should be 3–5 pages in length, not including the title page and reference page. Support your information with references to at least three professional, scholarly, or government resources, and follow current APA guidelines for your in-text citations and references.
Additional Requirements

Include a title page and reference page. The completed assessment should be 3–5 pages in length, not including the title page and reference page.
Reference at least three current scholarly, professional, or government resources.

Section 5 of Major Assessment 7: Using an Epidemiological Approach to Critically Analyze a Population Health Problem

DNP-prepared nurses are expected to effectively use research methods to analyze data, “design evidence-based interventions, [and] predict and analyze outcomes…,” (AACN, 2006, p. 11).

Every research design requires you to evaluate your results. Epidemiologic studies are no different. In Week 7, you explored how using causal models can assist with evaluating the data analysis section of a study. In this week’s Discussion, you explored how epidemiological data are used to substantiate or negate the need for screening programs; evaluation is critical to ensure the data are sound and suitable as the basis for such decisions. As these experiences demonstrate, if the results of a study are not evaluated, they cannot be used to improve population health.

As you begin working on Assignment 4, Section 5 of the Major Assessment 7 paper, consider how you would evaluate the anticipated results of your population health intervention developed in Sections 3 and 4 of Assignment 4. As noted in the AACN Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Nursing Practice, as a DNP-prepared nurse, you are expected to predict and analyze outcomes and then design evidence-based interventions based on your analysis. This Assignment provides you with an opportunity to practice that skill.

Begin developing Section 5, which is due by Friday 4/27/18 at 5pm

  • Review      the Major Assessment Overview (see attached file, section 5 highlighted in      yellow).
  • Review      Exhibit 8–7: The Four Stages of Evaluation on page 400 of Epidemiology      for Public Health Practice. In addition, review the articles in the      Learning Resources that describe program evaluation in various settings.

The four stages of evaluation are:

Formative Evaluation

Process Evaluation

Impact Evaluation

Outcome Evaluation

Section 5: Evaluation

To Complete:

In 3-page, write the following section of your paper:

1) An Introduction ending with a purpose statement (e.g. the purpose of this paper is…)

2) An evaluation plan based upon the health outcome that you have chosen and your anticipated results (please select the best method for evaluating the effect of the intervention out of the 4 methods mentioned above).

3)  A conclusion.

APA format required and minimum of 4 scholarly required from the list of required readings below

P.S. The content must be of a professional portfolio quality; it must address every major subsection in the assignment; selects most appropriate evaluation method for the project and fully and clearly describes the method for evaluating the effect of the intervention using advanced critical thinking skills; demonstrates an applied level of understanding through reflections supported by the literature about the content area. Excels in meeting expectations for graduate-level work.

Dq 1.Locate an example of a policy or guideline from an external source to a healthcare organization. Explain how this policy or guideline may be a constraint to a healthcare organization’s planning, or how it may shape the healthcare organization’s philosophy. For example, given that the American Academy of Pediatrics offers guidelines on child vaccinations, these guidelines might impact the ability of the healthcare organization to deliver services to newborns and infants. Using a similar example, as well as the characteristics of effective plans as your framework, discuss how proper planning can help organizations in their future decision making.   DQ 2.The control process involves three phases that are cyclic: establishing standards, measuring performance, and correcting deviations. Examine the manner in which health care leaders progress through each phase of the control process to manage organizations.  What is the management function of controlling as related to performance improvement?  What tools are used to measure and monitor performance?  Please describe at least two functions and two tools in your response.

Explain the basic models of quality improvement in healthcare.
Course Scenario
Chaparral Regional Hospital is a small, urban hospital of approximately 60 beds, and offers the following:

Emergency room services
Intensive care
Surgical care
Obstetrics
Diagnostic services
Some rehabilitation therapies
Inpatient pharmacy services
Geriatric services
Consumer physician referral services

Recently, the CEO has been hearing complaints from both patients and staff, varying from long wait times to rude physicians. You have been hired to design and implement a Quality Improvement Plan to help uncover quality problems and to satisfactorily resolve them.
Scenario Continued
The CEO has met with you to let you know that some members of the Board of Directors are questioning the value of developing a quality improvement plan. She has asked you to create an executive summary and an information sheet to be included in the next Board packet.
Instructions
Topics for the executive summary should include:

What is a Quality Improvement plan?
Why do healthcare facilities create improvement plans?
Why would you recommend the facility create and implement a QI plan?

After completing the Executive Summary, you will create a one-page information sheet for the Board that they can use to answer questions about QI plans.

The information sheet should give your CEO and the Board of Directors enough information to have an educated conversation with patients and other stakeholders on the value of QI plans.
Make sure to use audience-specific language and tone on your information sheet. Remember, you are writing this information sheet for your CEO and the Board of Directors.
Be creative, and make your information sheet fun and organized.

Practice Plan
For this assignment you will create a practice plan that will prepare you to take your place as a clinical mental health counselor who serves a selected population in your community. Completing this assignment will require you to think about the context in which you will someday serve clients—the historical context, the network of mental health services currently available to clients in your community, and the labor market context that may influence your selected area of practice. This assignment will also invite you to envision yourself participating in a professional organization that supports clinical mental health counselors and the counseling profession.
This is your paper’s introduction (one paragraph). An effective introduction prepares the reader by identifying the purpose of the paper and providing the organization of the paper.  In the body of your paper, indent the first line of each paragraph. Double space throughout (with no extra spaces between paragraphs), and use 12-point Times New Roman. For the purposes of this assessment, simply replace this text with a brief paragraph in your own words stating what this paper will cover, thus cuing the reader as to what will follow.
Historical Background
Identify and describe a population whom you would like to counsel someday (for example, children, teens, seniors, LGBTQ individuals, individuals with a particular disability or disorder). Provide reasons why you think you would find this area of counseling rewarding. When providing these personal reasons, it is acceptable to use first-person voice.
In another paragraph, concisely summarize the history and development of clinical mental health counseling, including key events that have influenced counseling services available for this population. This section should be about one page and should be in third-person voice.
Network and Practice
Describe the network of mental health counseling services available for a client from your selected population, based on your Internet search of all agencies that offer mental health services for your selected population in your community. Include services that are available across the continuum of care, including inpatient, outpatient, partial treatment and aftercare options.
In a second paragraph, identify a potential professional niche for yourself within this network of services. Offer your review of information available in O*Net, the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), and the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH). Analyze the skills, educational requirements, and average earnings of a counselor in your state.
Supervision and Consultation
Describe a plan for receiving post-masters clinical supervision that meets ethical requirements of the American Counseling Association and legal requirements in your state, referencing specific points in the ethical and legal codes. Cite the codes as you describe your plan, and include the codes in the References section of your paper.
Next, describe resources in your professional community with whom you could engage in case consultation. Identify practices you would use so that your case consultation would meet ethical and legal requirements. Cite specific ethical or legal codes that will guide you when you need to seek consultation about a case.
Professional Organizations
In this section, identify several national, state, regional, or special interest professional organizations that will support your practice as a professional counselor. Describe several ways in which you will benefit from affiliation with these professional counseling organizations.
Conclusion
Provide a brief conclusion for your paper.  Mention that your Professional Counseling Disclosure Statement is presented in Appendix A.
