Please respond to the two Scenarios in this paper (See the Answer format attached). Scenario 1: You are a new nursing student who has been hospitalized for injuries following a major car accident. Earlier today you were told the fracture in your right leg will require complicated surgery to repair and extensive rehab to recover. There is a question as to whether you will ever regain full use of your leg. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning. Tonight you are alone in your hospital room and the night nurse has just entered. What are your concerns when you reflect on this personal patient experience? What will your experience be like? Scenario 2: You realize that you share a different values system from the nurse. You reflect that this might be challenging for you as a nurse someday. These values might be due to differences in lifestyle, cultural background, belief system, or attitudes about health care. Enemies
Many people in Western cultures report not having an enemy. If someone doesn’t like someone else, they simply don’t hang around each other. However, in some situations and cultures there is less mobility, so enemy relationships can develop with repeated exposure to those people you don’t get along with. What situations might increase the likelihood of developing an enemy and how having an enemy might lead to violence or aggression? One example of a situation where enemies might form is the workplace, where you typically don’t get to choose your colleagues.
Cyberbullying
Discuss the impact of cyberbullying today. What experiences with cyberbullying have you encountered or heard about? What are some factors that make cyberbullying more damaging than face-to-face bullying? Discuss how cyberbullying can be reduced.

Applying Social Cognitive Theory to Environmental Health
Consider the following scenario: A mother is pressured by her children to start exercising every day because they had learned about the need for it in school. The mother usually tries to set an example for her children, but in this case her children are setting the example for her. This is an illustration of observational learning, where behaviors are acquired by seeing them in another person. Observational learning is one of the many useful concepts in the Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) that apply directly to health behaviors.
For this Discussion, you apply the concepts of SCT to an environmental health behavior. You may choose one of these examples or your own topic: recycling; responsible energy use (e.g., compact fluorescent [CFL]/light-emitting diode [LED] lightbulbs, phantom loads); use of bottled water; use of alternative energy sources (e.g., wind, solar); consumption of locally grown food; reducing use of personal vehicles. Note also Table 5 in Theory at a Glance (NCI, 2005), which has some good examples of potential change strategies that could be applied to your topic.
