Prompt: Select a case scenario from the approved case studies for use in the final project (or get approval from instructor for another case scenario) and address the type of public health risk found in the case study. In your journal entry, be sure to address the following critical elements:
Describe the case study. Why is it a public health issue?
How did the issue develop? Answer this question considering your current understanding of microbiology. You will get another chance to examine the development of the public health issue later in the course.
Determine the microbe type at play in the case study (archaea, bacteria, etc.). How did you make that determination? Use examples to support your claim.
