Unit III Journal This assignment has two parts.

Part 1:

Using Digital and Emerging Technology to Improve Student Success

In your Unit V I Final Project, you will create a lesson plan using digital and emerging technologies. So, you may design a plan to develop a lesson using any technology that will best support the instruction. In this assignment, you will choose the topic on which you will base your Unit V I Final Project and begin building your lesson plan. If you are currently teaching in a classroom or designing or teaching in a corporate or military environment, please feel free to use your own lesson material here. If you are not currently an instructor, there are several open-source textbooks that you may utilize to build your lesson plan. Using your favorite search engine, search for open-source textbooks or open-source textbooks tied to your specific topic.

Using the Lesson Plan Template following information:

·         academic subject,

·         unit name, (which is also the template you will be using to submit your final project), please list the

·         summary of the unit’s content,

·         unit objectives,

·         description (in the Materials and Resources section) of the forms of technology that you are considering using in your unit lesson plan and how the technology will improve learners’ success, and description (in the Assignments and Activities section) of learning activities and assignments that you would like to use in your unit that will address your learners’ unique audience and environment supporting achievement of the overall unit objectives.

Remember that the specific technologies you discuss here may not necessarily be the ones that you decide to use in the final version of your unit lesson plan. This assignment will give you the opportunity to consider various forms of technology and weigh their pros and cons.

The first portion of your document should be at least one page in length. Proper APA formatting is not required for this part of the assignment. However, if any outside sources are used, please be sure to give the author proper credit for the material.

Part 2: For this portion of the assignment, you will begin finalizing your choices regarding which forms of technology you would like to use in your unit lesson plan for your organization. Once this decision is made, you will be required to get an estimated cost for your purchases. You will also want to plan to use the digital and emerging technologies effectively and will be asked to provide information on how you will use the technologies and how it will benefit overall learning. Choose a form of technology that you would like to use in your unit lesson plan, and write a one-page summary and create a PowerPoint presentation that includes the following information:

·         a description of the digital or emerging technology and how it would be used,

·         a list of your unit lesson plan objectives,

·         an estimated description of costs (you decide how many people will use it based on an organization you select), and

·         a description of how technology will be used to help learners achieve the lesson objectives.

This portion of the journal assignment should be a minimum of one page in length. Your PowerPoint presentation should consist of at least seven slides, not counting the title or reference slides. Please be sure that all sources, including your textbook, are cited and referenced using proper APA formatting. Please utilize at least two outside sources for Part 2 of the journal assignment, one of which can be your textbook. At least one of your sources should be found in the CSU Online Library.

 

For this journal, answer the following: Describe the knowledge that you need to be a successful leader within your field of study. In order to do this, you may want to research job descriptions and organizations’ employment websites. What knowledge do you already possess that will benefit you in your future career as a leader? What knowledge do you still need, and how do you plan to obtain this knowledge? How will you leverage your knowledge to motivate and empower your employees? What can you do to increase workplace morale? Explain effective methods of increasing workplace morale. My position is office manager. I supervise 5 other employees at a small forestry/ logging business. Your submission must be at least 600 words in length. If outside sources are used, please adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.
