Write a short Policy Brief, consisting of 3-5 paragraphs (2 pages MAX, 12 point Single Spaced).
*The Policy Brief will also form the basis for the Elevator Pitch, the next assignment*

This Policy Brief will be informed by your first assignment, the SWOT analysis. In your SWOT analysis, you analyzed a specific program or policy in a defined geography. Building off your SWOT analysis, you will present your chosen program or policy to the audience of a senior government policymaker looking to invest resources to improve population health outcomes.

The Brief needs to be written in clear, concise language as if targeting a senior government policymaker looking to invest resources to improve population health outcomes. It should describe and quantify a health challenge in a specific geography (country or region) – for example – the TB burden in the Republic of Georgia. The brief will then identify a program intervention to tackle the problem, clearly defining which monitoring outcomes will be affected by the program (eg. reduced incidence of new cases OR improved quality of life of active cases). Finally, the brief will describe a timeline and high level resources (personnel, finances and  technologies) needed to launch changes to the program. Overall, the brief should be structured in a way that the Executive could, having read through the proposal, discuss the program and its justification and at a high-level, the resource commitment and timeline associated with its roll-out.

Analysis of variance, ANOVA, is a statistical technique used to analyze the variation between two or more groups so as to discover the disparity among the group means. Analysis of variance is used to examine the general variation instead of a specific variation between means.

The assumptions that involve the use of ANOVA are:

  • The population is normally distributed
  • The population is mutually exclusive
  • All population should have equal variance
  • The measurement of the dependent variable is at
    the internal/ratio level
  • Each observation of the samples are independent

ANOVA consists of two types of measurements: first, one-way ANOVA and second, two-way ANOVA. The one-way ANOVA is measuring variations among different
groups, comparing two groups or more. The one-way ANOVA is the preferred statistical test when examining two or more groups. An example of using one-way
ANOVA  is the analysis of a particular sport but on different education levels like sophomore, junior, or senior. The two-way ANOVA is used when the variations analysis is comparing a much more complicated pair of groupings. An example of two-way ANOVA could be analyzing the grades of an American senior student to the grades of a student who is studying in America on the exchange student program.

comment2

Analysis of variance refers to the differences between two, three, or more groups. The textbook says two or more groups, while the visual learner says three or more groups (Grove & Cipher, 2017, p. 179); (The Visual Learner, 2018). There are different versions of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) tests but the most basic form, is a one-way ANOVA. The one-way ANOVA has only one dependent variable and one independent variable. The variable is dependent if it is being tested and measured. The independent variable is the variable that is changed to see how it affects the dependent variable. The outcome of the ANOVA provides an F-ratio that is an average of the differences between the groups. There will also be a F-critical value. If the F-critical value is not more than the F-ratio, the null hypothesis would be rejected at the given alpha level.

The test must meet certain guidelines. The distributions of the populations should be very near normal. The variance of the population should be the same. The samples must be quantitative and taken from simple random samples and the samples must not be dependent on one another (The Visual Learner, 2018).

The repeated-measures analysis of variance can be used to measure changes in the dependent variable over extended periods of time.

Post hoc analysis can then be used to find the location of the variance. These tests include the Dunnett test, Newman-Keuls test, the Scheffe test and the Tukey Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test (Grove & Cipher, 2017).

CASE STUDY – indeed.com and linkedin .com
The most popular job resources of Job seekers are LinkedIn and Indeed.com.  LinkedIn designed as an employment-related social network and Indeed.com is a metasearch engine for job listings. Indeed.com is an American worldwide employment-related search engine for job listings launched in November 2004. Linkedin was launched in 2003 to connect the world’s professionals. In December 2016, Microsoft completed its acquisition of LinkedIn, bringing together the world’s leading professional cloud and the world’s leading professional network.
Indeed.com has also added services like resume storage, salary comparisons, employment-related news and trends, and user forums. Employers posting jobs pay a small fee each time a job seeker views a posting. Most clicks on Indeed.com cost between $0.25 – $1.50. The site also earns revenue through traditional website advertising. The recruiting strategy is a plan of action to successfully identify, attract and hire the best candidates for your open roles. Indeed Resume provides millions of resumes from job seekers across nearly any industry and location. Employers can quickly find candidates by entering a skill, job title, city, state or zip. The results can be narrow down by criteria like years of experience, education level and more. Resume alert can be set to receive daily emails with links to new resumes that match the criteria for the positions looking to fill.  Indeed sends the candidate info to employers.
Indeed is a true “job search engine,” which works by aggregating job postings from many different sources, including: Jobs posted directly on Indeed by employers, Jobs posted on employer sites, Jobs posted on job boards, Jobs posted on newspaper websites and other online classifieds.Indeed.com throws all those job postings into a gigantic database and adds powerful searching capabilities. The search tips could reduce 10% of job search time in applying for jobs online. The source code, on every page they have a title tag and description tag, and they have a fully developed keyword tag. The concept of meta tagging is well done. As a job search site, they have a lot of authority, which probably adds to their ranking power. Ranking high gets them a lot of traffic, which then feeds back into their authority.
In addition to a job board, LinkedIn gives users the ability to find friends and colleagues and build a social network towards professional networking and information sharing. Users can search for professionals outside of their network and then to be introduced by a common connection. Forums and groups are available for networking and discussing specific topics in LinkedIn. LinkedIn generates revenue across four main product lines: Talent Solutions, Marketing Solutions, Sales Solutions and Learning Solutions, in addition to collecting Premium Subscriptions. Revenue generated from both enterprise customers and individual members purchasing subscriptions. There are four premium options to choose from depending on how the user wishes to take advantage of the site: one for job seekers; one for professional networking and business promotion; one for generating sales leads and finding potential new customers; and one for employers or recruiters to post jobs and find talent.
The recruiter receives an “Easy Apply” application, they see the snapshot LinkedIn profile—namely your photo, headline, past and present job titles, education, and any skills listed.  If the  account is premium ,the exact profile views will be known.
LinkedIn developed many custom data pipelines for streaming and queueing data. For example, when data needed to flow into data warehouse, send batches of data into Hadoop workflow for analytics, collected and aggregated logs from every service, when collecting tracking events like pageviews,it is needed queueing for in Mail messaging system, and to keep people search system up to date whenever someone updated their profile.

Week 5: Stress and Health
Stress is an issue that most people can identify with, either now and again or every minute of the day. The effects of stress are a field of interest and research for many, and the connections between past experiences and future health is one major focus area of research. The effects of stress can be greater than some individuals realize, including how stress works against us and the potential for healthy aging. In fact, how people deal with events can have a major impact on both their physical and psychological health.
Erik Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development is a cornerstone of lifespan development theories. This theory can provide essential insight for both psychologists and individuals in that it covers the entire lifespan instead of just one stage. Furthermore, the different challenges or crises of Erikson’s eight stages represent multiple opportunities for social and cultural growth.
This week, you will examine the connections between stress and health through childhood experience and adult wellbeing. Furthermore, you will use Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development to describe and predict your own psychosocial development and critique this theory as to how it aligned with your personal experiences.
Learning Objectives
Students will:
· Analyze connections between stress and health issues throughout lifespan
· Apply Erikson’s psychosocial development theory to personal experiences
· Evaluate the accuracy and applicability of Erikson’s psychosocial development theory
· Identify concepts, principles, and processes related to memory, cognition, and healthy aging

Discussion: Stress Throughout the Lifespan
Post a response to the Discussion Spark in the Discussion Spark thread for this week.
Main Discussion
Over time, doctors noticed a trend among their patients: Many of them with chronic conditions were sharing histories of “rough childhoods” and early trauma. Because of this, the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study was started in 1998. This study captured just how serious adverse childhood experiences can be, and how, even though a person might try to deny the effects of that trauma years later, the trauma was affecting their health.
To prepare, review the provided resources related to the ACE study, as well as information related to common chronic health conditions detailed in Arnett (2019). Furthermore, consider situations you are aware of that involved childhood trauma or adverse experiences and any association between these stresses and chronic health conditions.
By Day 3
Post an analysis of connections between stress and health issues throughout the lifespan. Your analysis should include the following:
· Briefly describe (under 100 words) a hypothetical person who has experienced adverse childhood experiences. Indicate what their ACE score might be based on the survey from Stevens (2012).
· Identify at least two likely health outcomes that could affect this individual throughout adulthood using evidence from the ACE research. What can prevent these health outcomes from becoming a reality?
· Explain the role of resilience for this individual and their health issues.

Assignment: Erikson’s Psychosocial Development Theory
Erikson’s theory is considered a foundational theory for many other perspectives in lifespan development. Once individuals complete a stage and move to the next, they take with them the outcomes of the previous stage. Did they end up with the ideal result or the not-so-ideal result? In this Assignment, you will apply each of Erikson’s stages to your own life and consider whether earlier stages are predictive of later stages and if old conflicts could be resolved later in life through methods such as therapy to have a better outcome in current or future stages.
To prepare, review the provided resources related to Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development and consider how it relates to your personal experiences. For stages you have not yet reached, predict the likely outcome. Refer to the “Erikson’s Psychosocial Development Theory Template” provided in the Week’s Resources for further instructions and requirements to complete this Assignment.
By Day 7
Submit:
A 2- to 3-page paper applying Erikson’s psychosocial development theory to your personal growth and experiences. Your application should include the following:
· Connect Erikson’s Theory to Personal Experiences
· Describe each stage of Erikson’s theory and the outcome of each psychosocial crisis, using evidence from your personal experience to support this outcome.
· Predict the negotiation of future stage(s) of development based on the scholarly evidence and your personal experiences thus far.
· Critiquing Erikson’s Stages
· Analyze the ways in which Erikson’s theory does or does not accurately explain your personal psychosocial development. Be sure to provide specific examples to support your analysis.
· Assess the accuracy of the age ranges given in Erikson’s theory in representing life stages as we know them today. Explain any updates you think would be necessary to describe modern people.
· Discuss two criticisms that you have of Erikson’s theory, including options to address these criticisms.
