THIS IS A GROUP ASSIGNMENT SO I AM GOING TO NEED TO COLLABORATE 2 PAGES IN THE PAPER. DOES NOT NEED AN INTRO OR CONCLUSION. JUST IN TEXT CITATIONS AND REFERENCE AND THE 2 PAGES NEEDS TO BE “IDENTIFYING CURRENT PUBLICATIONS” ON A RECENT ARTICLE ABOUT “ELDERLY POLYPHARMACY”. THIS IS THE INSTRUCTIONS: Identify current publications concerning the issue being analyzed – literature review 30% In this section the team must demonstrate analysis and synthesis of the extant literature. The review should include information published in refereed journals, authoritative websites, government and other publications. References should be current and reflective of contemporary thought with regard to the selected issue. ALSO, THE POWERPOINT IS ALSO GROUP ASSIGNMENT SO PLEASE MAKE 2-3 SINGLE SLIDES REFERRING TO (ELDERLY POLYPHARMACY) AND TO “IDENTIFY CURRENT PUBLICATIONS AS WELL” NO INTRO OR CONLUCION NEEDED FOR THE SLIDES EITHER JUST 2 SLIDES IDENTIFYING CURRENT PUBLICATIONS ON ELDERLY POLYPHARMACY LIKE THE 2 PAGE PAPER AS WELL

Question Description

As the country focuses on the restructuring of the U.S. health care delivery system, nurses will continue to play an important role. It is expected that more and more nursing jobs will become available out in the community, and fewer will be available in acute care hospitals.

  1. Write an informal presentation (500-700 words) to educate nurses about how the practice of nursing is expected to grow and change. Include the concepts of continuity or continuum of care, accountable care organizations (ACO), medical homes, and nurse-managed health clinics.
  2. Share your presentation with nurse colleagues on your unit or department and ask them to offer their impressions of the anticipated changes to health care delivery and the new role of nurses in hospital settings, communities, clinics, and medical homes.
  3. In 800-1,000 words summarize the feedback shared by three nurse colleagues and discuss whether their impressions are consistent with what you have researched about health reform.
  4. A minimum of three scholarly references are required for this assignment.

While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

Case study
Joe s a registered nurse. He  works in an acute medical ward in NHS trust since he qualified a year ago. He works regularly with Annabel, a junior sister, and considers her to be a friend. A month ago, Joe noticed that Annabel had begun to treat everyone in an off-hand way. Joe did not mind for himself but began to worry about the effect on patients. Joe heard Annabel shout at some patients and then one day he found out that Annabel was sedating a confused elderly patient with history of dementia without a prescription. Joe tried to speak to Joan but Annabel’s only response was that the doctor would prescribe it soon anyway and that she was just giving everyone a bit of peace. A few nights later when this patient got out of bed talking loudly and obviously in a state of confusion, Joe saw Annabel pushing her aggressively back to her bed. She pulled the curtains round the bed, and Joe then heard screams followed by moaning sounds from the patient.
The following day one of the doctors that Joe knew from the MDT meeting was visiting the ward and Joe mentioned to him that he was worried that a colleague was being brusque and impatient with patients. The doctor said Joe should report it and told him he could get confidential advice from his trade union or Protect* (https://protect-advice.org.uk/advice-line/) . At first, Joe was unsure whether he could talk to his manager, who was very friendly with Annabel, and was worried about what would happen if his concerns were unfounded and if other colleagues took sides against him. He liked working there and hoped to stay on the ward for a couple of years. He was concerned to be singled out and be forced to leave his job. After much contemplation Joe eventually managed to take the right course of action ’’.
Question 1: Consider the current NMC Code, relevant legislation, policies and guidelines, ethical principles and identify, discuss and
analyse the appropriateness of behaviours of the nurses involved in the scenario.

This discussion will allow you to generate content for your Final Project regarding your chosen healthcare organization’s customers and demographics. As mentioned in Chapter 7 of the course text, “marketing involves both the creation and distribution of goods and services” (Stevens, R., & Silver, L. S., 2015, section 7.1: “What is Marketing,” para. 4). Marketing departments should be concerned with customer needs and meeting those needs in the market place. The marketing concept for HCOs, therefore, is patient-centered. However, marketing concerns within a HCO should not be focused on patients in general, but on patients who are part of a pre-selected market segment (i.e., specific customers with specific needs). To prepare for this discussion, read Chapter 7 of the course text and the Rao (2012) article, “Generating Growth Through Patient-Centered Commercial Strategies.” Then read the scenario below and address the points that follow.

Scenario:
The Happy Valley long-term care director notes that past marketing directors and marketing teams made assumptions concerning patient expectations and offered a limited degree of amenities. However, current research indicates that the baby boomer generation will expect a far greater degree of amenities such as TVs in rooms and private bathrooms. In the future, HCOs and marketing teams will focus on analytical tools to gain a more accurate degree of knowledge concerning patients’ actual expectations and needs. The marketing director for Happy Valley long-term care facility decided to perform a qualitative analysis. The marketing team interviewed patients and their families as a means to determine patient needs and expectations. The outcomes of the analysis provided the marketing team with data that could be applied to the development of marketing objectives and strategies to support the strategic plan.

Patient-centered marketing focuses on knowing what specific patients need and expect. Needs and expectations can vary, based on the type of care (e.g., long-term care, hospice, palliative care, renal care, and physical therapy).

In your initial post:

Discuss why patient-centered marketing is an important aspect of your chosen HCO’s marketing plan.
Explain how patient-centered marketing would help support the goals of your chosen HCO’s marketing plan.
Support your claims with citations and references from the course text and at least one scholarly source.

1) Think about a population mean that you may be interested in and propose a confidence interval problem for this parameter. Your data values should be approximately normal.
For example, you may want to estimate the population mean number of times that adults go out for dinner each week. Your data could be that you spoke with seven people you know and found that they went out 2, 0, 1, 5, 0, 2, and 3 times last week. You then would choose to calculate a 95% (or another level) confidence interval for the population mean.
Assume a random sample was chosen, which is required to determine a confidence interval.
2) Think about a population proportion that you may be interested in and propose a confidence interval problem for this parameter.
For example, you may like to estimate the population proportion of adults in the US who own SUVs. The data could be that you researched online by looking at a local dealership to find that 142 of the 432 vehicles sold are SUVs. You want to calculate a 90% (or another level) confidence interval for the population proportion. Assume a random sample.
Show step by step calculation.
