UncategorizedIssue Papers (50%)
You will research and prepare a written analysis of two of the issues that you didn’t submit an analysis for (you can’t receive credit for both a paper and an analysis for the same issue). The paper must be a minimum of 5 full pages in length and no longer than 6 pages in length. No more than two pages of the paper can be based on the two articles related to the issue or any other information from the textbook. The paper must be single-spaced (not 1.15, which is the default setting for recent versions of Word) and printed using Times New Roman, size 12 font, with 1.25 inch margins on the side and 1 inch margins on the top and bottom (Office 2003 default in Margin settings in Page Layout on the Word header). Also, please do not use any space saving techniques such as adding extra space between paragraphs (the first sentence of each paragraph should be indented), using bulleted or numbered items, using sub-titles or footnotes, including diagrams or tables, or including your name/paper title at the top of any of the five – six pages. You will not receive full credit for a paper that has more than a few grammatical errors. Your grade on the paper will be reduced if you do not follow these technical requirements. In addition, you must attach a cover page that includes the topic you have chosen and a page of references at the end of your paper (the cover page and reference page do not count toward the 5 page requirement). You must use at least four references in addition to the two textbook articles and none of the references should be other articles from the textbook.
In your critique, you should include your identification and analysis of the central issues related to your topic, your evaluation of the alternative perspectives related to your topic, and a description of your current stance on the issue you have chosen. Please read the note regarding plagiarism in the class policies section of this syllabus. Your paper should be submitted to me as a Word attachment to either a Blackboard or email message. Information in the text of your paper must be properly cited using the method that is used in The Benefits of Globalization: An Economic Perspective (pp. 210 – 214) in the textbook. Do not include any footnotes at the bottom of any of the five – six pages of your analysis. In preparing the paper you should avoid using more than three direct quotes and no quote should be longer than two sentences.
While you may submit your paper at any time before the due date, the deadline for submitting your first paper is October 9 and the deadline for your second paper is December 4. You do not have to wait until the deadlines to submit your papers.

UncategorizedMarial, ( this is for the professor)
You made some great points regarding challenging your own perceptions and being open to other perceptions. This week we read about the stages of interpersonal conflict. Using what you learned about perception and the stages of interpersonal conflict walk us through a conflict you recently experienced and how perception impacted these stages of interpersonal conflict.
Reply2
Conflict within the workplace is inevitable. I recall that in my workplace, I experienced a dispute with one of my colleagues. My colleague did not want to wait for me to come in to give me the nurses’ report. She would leave early most of the time and not meet with me as required to go over the patients that she was supposed to transfer to my care. Because we were unable to find a resolution, I decided to speak with the charge nurse who would serve as the neutral third party.
I would prefer the use of a facilitative approach to finding a resolution. With this type of approach, the third party, aims to facilitate negotiation between both parties (McKenzie, 2015). In this case, this approach is ideal because of the nature of the dispute. The charge nurse aims to find a resolution as patient care cannot be compromised. Perception can affect how one sees the problem leading to the conflict. In this case, the student’s colleague may not believe her actions are wrong.

Unit 5 Discussion Board
Johnson and Johnson, a holding company, has been a leading family staple for more than 135 years, originating in November 1887. Through its subsidiaries J & J has been delivering research, manufacturing, sales and development in the healthcare field. (Columbia Southern University) They remain one of the leading healthcare providers in pharmaceuticals medical devices, and consumer packaged goods.
That being said, they could not have been as successful as they have been for so long if it weren’t for certain key elements to include.
Their core benefits are what makes them stand out amongst the competition and the main reason why they continue to remain a household name over the decades of operation. With a drive to improve the way quality healthcare is delivered. Their main focuses have been improving lives, variation and inclusion and exceeding expectations. They are committed to using their size and reach for the greater good. Their mission is to strive for accessibility and affordability, and creating healthier communities by ensuring that everyone has access to a healthier mind, body, and environment. (About Johnson & Johnson, 2023)
2. Basic Product
The Basic Product includes many of the products that we have around our homes and includes products that are used in healthcare industries. These products are divided into three segments: consumer health, pharmaceutical and medical devices. Consumer health products are many popular names that you might have in your medicine cabinet to include along the beauty lines, AVEENO clean and clear and Neutrogena. Also, OTC (over the counter) medicines like Tylenol, Sudafed, Benadryl, and Zyrtec. There is also the popular baby care line which I have always been most familiar with, which is Johnson’s and Aveeno baby line of products. Even, as of the recent pandemic, the Johnson & Johnson Vaccination among others. Then there is oral care to include Listerine. So many items that we purchase that have Johnson and Johnson label on it whether we realize it or not and that is what makes them of the top leading companies in the world.
3. Expected Product
When consumers purchase these products, they expect them to reach their full potential (if not exceeding). Whether it be buying Tylenol to cure a headache or joint pain. Or buying AVEENO clean and clear in hopes of clearer skin after so many uses. These are the expectations that are preset before purchasing these items.
4.Augmented Product
Listerine was one of the Johnson’s brothers’ main products when they first took off. Over the years you see that there are new meanings under the Listerine line being introduced at an abrupt rate. These differences range from taste to the actual functionalities of the mouthwash itself. The first mouthwash was introduced as a way of surgical antiseptic for post op patients to ensure that they do not have to return due to surgical infection. To now it is widely used for killing bad breath germs for everyday usage the taste ranges from original to flavored, like cool mint.
5.Potential Product
As of Nov 2020, J & J had plans to roll out 14 new pharmaceutical drugs by the year of 2025. With projected sales of $4 billion a year per each medicine. (Erman & Steenhuysen, 2021) It was announced that J & J will separate the Consumer Health business, in an order to create two world health leaders, but with the same intent to remain innovative and the leader of the health care industry. With the focus still primarily being on self-care ( OTC ) and Skin Health and Essential Health, to include baby care, feminine care, wound care and oral health.
